Guided Horse Trails Through the Grootbos Nature Reserve and Nearby Beaches

One of the most satisfying and enriching ways of exploring Grootbos Nature Reserve is by horse back. The horses at Grootbos are ideal for beginners and experienced horse riders alike. Experienced staff look after 18 horses at the Grootbos stables, and accompany guests on rides. The reserve has ancient Milkwood forest, Afro-montane forests, the fresh invigorating smells of fynbos and an amazing and harmonious relationship between insects, plants and animals.

The stunning scenery and sheer presence of nature in its purest and finest state is why many visitors enjoy the adventurous outrides into reserve. Grootbos has safe and comfortable equipment and extremely knowledgeable guides to make your horse trails a pleasurable experience. Horse riding is included in the accomodation rate and three hour beach rides can be arranged on request.
