Growing the Future: Organic food

Dianne came to teach the ladies about food nutrition and how to eat healthy. She said that, many common health problems can be prevented with a healthy diet. Organic foods may have higher nutritional value than the food we buy from the food stores. Organic is processed without artificial ingredients, preservatives and so on. By eating organic food , you limit your intake of growth hormones and antibiotics.

Then she made lunch for us from the left-over vegetables we took to the lodge and some broken eggs that cannot be used by the kitchen . She cooked baby marrows, baby marrow leaves, spinach, carrots and herbs together in one pot. Then potatoes, strawberries and grilled tomatoes.

All in all, our dish was divided into three: It was potatoes with mixed veg on top, the salad she made, cooked strawberries and grilled tomatoes with an egg inside.
