Growing the Future Secondary Produce training with Duane!

As part of Growing The Future curriculum, the students learn how to process some of our organically grown vegetables and fruit! In this way the students learn how to add value to their products in their future ventures. Duane Lewis, Executive Chef of Grootbos spent two days with our students, sharing his knowledge of food and food processing with us! Our first product was a chili sauce, which we made from our own chilies, tomatoes, green peppers and herbs. It is really delicious with a strong bite to it! On the second day we used our brinjals to make chutney. We will sell both of these products locally. You can expect more to come from the Growing The Future kitchen! Bon appetite!
