Dibanisa Lesson 5.2: Creating Art Out of the Environment Follow-Up

Posted under Eco-Tourism Blog by Grootbos on 21st November 2011

This weeks Dibanisa lesson was about creating art from our environment. Carla Gouws taught the kids how make a collage out of off-cut materials.

The aim of the lesson was to learn to reduce, reuse and recycle. The children each made a Christmas card out of scraps of material, off-cut paper, mirror and a variety of other media.

The children were assisted by our very enthusiastic volunteers! By the end of the lesson, each child had a beautiful Christmas card to show for their effort!

We would like to thank Carla for her time and Karina for her assistance. We would also like to thank Natasha and her group of very enthusiastic volunteers, Tilman, Philine, Luisa and Jakob!

We are looking forward to our beach clean-up with the Dyer Island Conservation Trust next week!
