Our Green Futures students have had a busy week! On Tuesday, the Green Futures students went out with Sharlene to make cuttings of the various species Proteaceae species that we have on Grootbos.

Dianne came to teach the ladies about food nutrition and how to eat healthy. She said that, many common health problems can be prevented with a healthy diet.

Green Futures now includes FGASA Level 1 Training!

Our Green Futures programme has been running since March 2003 with a focus on training young unemployed youths in horticulture and life skills.

Two Leopards at Flower Valley Farm

Two leopards have been photographed on Flower Valley Farm. This is the first time that leopards have been officially documented on the farm, although they were thought to live in the area. According to the Landmark Foundation, a female and a male leopard have been identified. The cameras are situated high up on the mountains on Flower Valley Farm. This is the second confirmation of leopards living in the area, after a leopard was photographed on Grootbos late last year.
