GROOTBOS FOUNDATION WISHLIST 2011

From time to time needs arise within the Foundation, which are not covered in our day to day operation. Each project has specific needs and requirements. We are currently seeking sponsorship for the following items:
Growing the Future secondary produce training:
A portion of the Growing the Future project's training is focussed on jam and preserve making. We aim to teach the ladies that they can not only provide food, but also generate an income. For example, strawberries can be eaten, but when they are made into jam, they can be sold for a profit.
Growing the Future is in need of a gas stove and fridge for their secondary produce training.
The approximate cost for these items are:
Gas Stove: R4 000
Fridge: R2 500
Computers:
The Foundation is in need of two new computers.
One of our sponsors has very kindly sponsored three computers. We would like to purchase another computer so that our students can work two to a computer. Our Green Futures project manager is also in need of a new computer.
The approximate cost per computer: R4 500
Seating benches:
Both Green Futures and Growing the Future are in need of seating benches for the students. The students do not currently have a place to sit and have their lunch. Any donations will be welcome!
Other needs:
- Lawnmower for Green Futures for maintenance jobs
- Weedeater for Growing the Future for general maintenance of the property
