Grootbos is fortunate to be immersed in a community equally passionate about protecting our natural resources and celebrating the exceptional and diverse fynbos.
Recently, our generous neighbours at The Giant Periwinkle Farm entered into a legally binding contract, designating a specific portion of their land as a protected area. This agreement ensures that the area will remain untouched by any form of development or agricultural activity, safeguarding its rich natural biodiversity. This servitude agreement is legally binding for 99 years regardless of land ownership changes, making it extremely significant for conservation momentum.
By growing the natural areas surrounding Grootbos we can create larger areas of pristine landscape where the fauna and flora of the fynbos can thrive. READ MORE >>
