Soap making at Growing the Future

Posted under Eco-Tourism Blog by Grootbos on 6th November 2012

The ladies at Growing the Future are gaining lots of experience in using whatever is around them to create something. Two days ago, Dianne taught the student on how to make own body soap to suit your skin type and your fragrance preferences. They made Tally ho! which is nice, hard soap and quick to trace. This was only made from melted tallow fat with caustic soda/lye.

The students learned a lot because they thought that to be able to make own soap, you need to have lots of ingredients. They have more business skills to use after the course as well and very proud of that.
