Day 2 - Overview
Enjoy a wholesome breakfast, before gearing yourself up for a morning of adventure. Start your day’s activities with an exciting guided fat bike tour through the beautiful nature reserves, over vast sand dunes and along the stunning Walker Bay coastline.
In the afternoon, head down the Klein River on a relaxing ‘Lady Stanford’ cruise with your guide on hand to point out the plethora of birdlife.
Celebrate the day with a sundowner down at the beach or on the reserve and then indulge in a sumptuous 5-course dinner while you ease into a magical Grootbos evening.
Day 3 - Overview
After breakfast, head off with your guide for a blissful beach day. They know all the best spots and will arrange umbrellas, beach towels and even a delicious picnic for the day.
After a busy morning, relax with a full body massage in our Forest Spa, surrounded by ancient Milkwood trees.
Make ready for a dining experience under the stars. Our Boma is surrounded by an ancient milkwood forest and provides the perfect backdrop for an authentic South African “braai”. Retaining the fine dining experience but utilising the unique flavours of open-fire cooking.

On your last morning at Grootbos, join one of our guides on an early morning walk through the magical Milkwood forest as the dappled light and gnarled ancient branches create a mysterious setting.

As a result of South Africa being placed under Level 4 Lockdown restrictions from 28 June 2021 until 25 July 2021, there will be some changes at the Grootbos lodges during this period.
No alcohol will be served or allowed to be consumed on the premises. Activities on the reserve will operate as per normal and our Bloom Wellness Spa is fully operational, with all necessary COVID-19 Safety Protocols in place.
Guests are also requested to adhere to all COVID-19 Safety Protocols put in place at the Lodge.
