Progressive Tourism Package

3 Nights

The Experience

Get your hands dirty. Plant a tree. Taste honey from the hive. Meet new people. Make a difference.

Our Progressive Tourism package is one very close to our hearts because it embodies the very essence of what sets Grootbos apart. Collect fresh eggs from the organic farm we’ve set up, meet entrepreneurs we’ve helped get started and students who are carving out a horticulture career for themselves. You can also meet and chat to young people whose lives have been altered by the power of sport. Join us as you connect with the various communities that benefit from tourism in this area and the various initiatives we’ve put in place.

What's new at Grootbos - New Garden Lodge and Florilegium

The last year has been a busy one at Grootbos. We rebuilt our beloved Garden Lodge entirely and re-opened it in April 2022. We also officially launched the Grootbos Florilegium - Africa's first contemporary florilegium - which is a collection of botanical illustrations created by local and international artists, depicting the charismatic plants found on our reserve and the surrounding regions.
